Kenneth Harold ‘Ken’ Elbon
ELBON
Kenneth Harold “Ken” Elbon, 80, a resident of East Dailey, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in the West Virginia Caring Hospice Center at Elkins.
He was born March 16, 1945, at Fairmont, West Virginia, a son of the late Leland Markley Elbon and Ruby Cade Elbon.
He was formerly married to Dora Jane Arbogast Donachy.
On July 19, 1986, at Dailey, he was married to Linda Louise Long, who preceded him in death April 12, 2013.
On Jan. 28, 2023, at Buckhannon, he was married to Rhonda Lee Miller, who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Timothy Lee Elbon of Valley Bend; four daughters, Lisa Elbon Skinner and husband, “JV”, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Karen Elbon Wandling and husband, Chuck, of Glen Allen, Virginia, Kimberly Elbon Bissett and husband, Rodne, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Pamela Elbon Bennett and husband, Derick, of Job.
Three brothers, William “Bill” Elbon of Elkins, Joseph “Joe” Elbon and wife, Carol, of Valley Bend, and Robert “Bob” Elbon and wife Charlotte of Dailey; one sister, Deloris Flint of Utah; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Leland Don Elbon; and two sisters, Norma and Loraine.
Ken was employed as an engineer technician and project manager for over 30 years with Columbia Gas Transmission until his retirement. He was a member of the Tygart Valley Volunteer Fire Department for many years and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He owned Dailey Car Care since 1987 and was a talented mechanic and autobody man who loved cars of all types. Ken was a member of Cornerstone Community Church of Buckhannon.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, May 24, 2025, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor John Darnell officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northern Appalachian Teen Challenge, Inc., 1877 Good Hope Pike, Clarksburg, WV 26301 in memory of Ken.
