Willia Lee (Moore) Harris

Mrs. Willia Lee (Moore) Harris, 84, a resident of the Meadowville Kurt road, Montrose, West Virginia, departed this life Thursday, July 17, 2025, at her residence under the care of Mountain Hospice. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born Jan. 24, 1941, at Barbour County, a daughter of the late Estes Poling and Clara Moore
On Aug. 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Billy Joe Harris Sr., who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2014.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Billy Joe Harris Jr. and Robert L. Harris, both of Montrose; one step-son, James L. Harris and wife, Debbie, of Belington; three step-daughters, Jo Ann Coger of Belington, Sharon Corley and husband, Dave, of Belington, and Heide M. Backhaus of Germany; and one brother, Estes W. “Buck” Poling of Montrose.
Also surviving is one grandson, Dustin Vandevender of Elkins. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, James R. Poling Sr. and Mary Ellen Bailey
Mrs. Harris attended the schools of Barbour County and was a homemaker most all her life, she formerly attended the Central Chapel Church. She loved to crochet and enjoyed gardening and canning in her earlier years. She also enjoyed her flowers and she loved her feline companions. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, Sunday July 20, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 8-11 a.m., the funeral hour, at which time final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Howard Swick officiating.
Interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery near Belington.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Mountain Hospice 1002 Crim Ave Belington, WV 26250.
