Festivals, skating in Barbour
Hello from Barbour County!
Parts of the county saw a hail storm a couple weeks ago. I hope you don’t have much damage, but it was cool to see.
The Haven of Hope Worship Center is sponsoring a free End of the School Year skating event on May 18, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Skatezone in Belington. Bring a friend and enjoy the evening of fun.
Battlers Knob presents Mythic Realms May 23-25, a festival with fantastic gaming and science. Stop by for food, music, art, games and more!
Congratulations to the Philip Barbour graduating class of 2025. Graduation will take place at the school on May 24 at 7 p.m.
The annual Blue & Gray Reunion will kick off once again in Philippi on May 29. Be sure to stop by and get a history lesson while you enjoy live music, great food, reenactments, and fun for the whole family.
The Mikey Hart Scholarship chicken burn and cornhole tournament will take place on May 31 at the firehouse in Belington beginning at 10 a.m. This is a yearly event that promises a good time.
Looking ahead, there will be a City Wide Yard Sale in Belington on June 7 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Call City Hall to get your sale on the map. For more information, call 304-823-1611.
