Holy Week services featured speakers

The Elkins Area Church Women United would like to thank the community for their support during Randolph County Coalition of Christian Churches’ Holy Week Services at Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church.

We especially want to thank Rev. Peter Vial, church members, and staff for their organization and leadership throughout the week.

We would like to thank the daily speakers: Davis and Elkins College Chaplain Laura Brekke Wagoner, St. Brendan’s Catholic Church Father Jim O’Conner, Ambassador Baptist Church Pastor Mike House, Rev. Peter Vial, Summit Church Pastor Hal Boehm, and the outstanding daily music.

This activity is Elkins Area Church Women United’s only fund raiser to help local non-profit organizations or projects. All money donated for lunches will be distributed to about 13 different programs.

The agencies to receive donations will be decided at our May Friendship Day Celebration.

We raised $1,268.00 through lunch donations where all food and labor was donated by seventeen different churches. We would like to recognize all of the different churches participating and give them a big shout-out of thank you:

Again, thank you for sharing your gift of service with us and may God continue to bless each of you. You are truly a blessing to your church and community!
