State DOH asked to intervene at exit

West Virginia Division of Highways and Ms. Sasha Danberry,

I am writing you to stress the importance of traffic study and implementation of safety precautions on Route 33.

On June 16 my family and I were traveling from Buckhannon to our home in Elkins. As we crested the hill near the Kesling Mill exit, we witnessed a horrific accident.

My husband, Eric, and I were some of the first responders to this accident which ultimately had one fatality and three others with severe injuries that required life flight to Ruby.

I won’t go into graphic details of this accident, but it was life altering for me and my husband.

The frequency and severity of accidents on this road warrant further interventions. I am not sure if a light, reducing speed, changing on and off exits would help, but something needs done.

I am formally requesting some intervention from the state DOH. Please honor this request and the victims.
