On patriotism and socialism

God has blessed us with a land rich in resources — soaring mountains, endless vistas of rich soil for abundant harvests, white sand coastlines, tropical forest and glacial peaks.

The founders of this great nation were inspired to dream, a dream of freedom governed not by the rich, or royalty, but by the people without kings or tyrants or dictators, knowing that this freedom would come at a great price, the lives of patriot soldiers and militiamen, whose rag-covered feet froze in the snow and whose primitive weapons were no match against the most powerful nation in the world, and who would give up their farms their families and their lives so that we might say “We, the people of the United States of America.”

We were not be the policemen of the world although God blessed us so that we might be a blessing.

When we hear cries for help from nations trampled by foreign armies, or races of people herded into concentration camps and crematoriums, or children who ought to be in school forced into violent raiding parties that kill their own people, we do not ignore those cries. American patriots invest their lives and their resources to answer those cries.

We stand and salute the men and women who, every day, place their lives in harm’s way on foreign soil to bring hope for a better life, even to people who hate us and what we stand for. We salute our brothers and sisters who cook meals, repair jeeps, buy supplies, wash uniforms clean latrines, and raise the flag so that our military can always be alert, always ready, always prepared, so that there will never be another Pearl Harbor or 9/11.

As a patriot we stand when the American flag passes by. We proudly place our hands over our hearts and pledge our allegiance. We thrill to know that Honor Flights take aging veterans in wheel chairs and walkers to see our great capital and the memorials that a grateful nation has built to honor them and their service.

As a proud citizen we will not forget those who gave their lives and their service. We will remember that national holiday set aside as a holy day to say, “Thank you, we will not forget.”

As a patriot we do not believe the American flag stands for hatred, warmongering and imperialism.

We do not believe our free-market system is responsible for killing and oppressing millions of people.

We do not believe this country breeds racists and sexists. As a patriot we stand with President Trump.

Is America really as bad as liberal socialists want you to believe?

Do not accept the lies and propaganda from anti-Americans in our country or their dismal, distorted view of the greatest nation in history. Those who would rather idolize Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro than honor George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Those who burn down businesses and destroy property to protest free markets, those who fight alongside radical terrorists rather than against them.

Do you stand with those who trample our Constitution while hiding behind the First Amendment? Do you believe their idea of displaying the American flag is setting it on fire and parading it through the streets?

Remember, liberal socialists are people who truly hate this country, and they will stop at nothing to tear her down, smashing our liberty in the process. I stand with President Trump and so should you.
