I am sick and tired of lazy incompetent whining teachers. But that being said......I also think SOMETHING must be done to 'parents' who show NO interest in making sure their children show up for school and do their homework. Surely, there is something else that can be done in these situations too. It's just as much a parents responsibility for half of the effort the kids must make. It takes parents plus teachers to have a well-educated child!

Why Pure....Merit pay would give most of these teachers LESS pay. Isn't that quite apparent by the passing each year of kids who can't read or write??

Seniority must be "thrown" out the window first of all. Then the counties can FIRE the incompetent lazy teachers who build up seniority and then think they cannot be fired no matter what.

We'll see a year from now what happens. I'm not holding my breath. Seems democrats always think throwing $$ money at everything fixes everything.

You want kids to learn? MERIT PAY....MERIT PAY!!! It's the ONLY way!
