Love how Elkins only helped when they knew a new article was in the makings. They just wanted to be the hero and look good. Very disappointed that this was the only reason to help.

I'm so glad that they rescued the poor cat!!! That poor lady deserves all the happiness she can get!

@Majoritarian: How about if you don't have anything that deserves to be said that you just quit commenting. It doesn't matter if you like cats or what but it was someone's beloved pet and that someone just happened to have special needs as well! So get over yourself!! Maybe you should get stuck in a tree or get injured so everyone can show cruelty to you! I hope to God you do not have children or pets because you probably treat them with the same disrespect you are showing here. If you want to make such rude comments why don't you tell everyone who you really are instead of hiding behind your username!!

Three cheers for Matt Holland. Even for an experienced tree climber, that's high and aweful cold. The Lord watches over each of His creatures, and I'm sure He said of Matt that, day, Well done!

They failed to mention that the fire dept sprayed the cat with water in an attempt to drive it from the tree. The cat had a thick coating of ice on it when it was rescued. It surely would have died that night after being soaked and frozen.
