Propst completes course

Army Pvt. Christopher A. Propst has graduated from the Avenger Air Defense Weapons System Repairer advanced individual training course at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala.

The course is designed to train soldiers to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, test and perform support maintenance on the Avenger short-range air-defense systems and associated equipment, assemblies and sub-assemblies.

The Avenger is a lightweight, highly mobile and transportable surface-to-air missile fire unit equipped with pods for Stinger missiles and a .50 caliber machine gun on an electric turret mounted on top of a mobile, multi-purposed wheeled vehicle.

He is the son of Steve W. Propst of Moyers.
