Organizers of the Kids Safety Fair at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Saturday are finalizing plans for the event. Participants can join the fun from noon to 3 p.m. on the ground floor of the health care facility.
The event will feature games and displays by the Lewis County EMS; Weston Volunteer Fire Department, 911 Center; The Girl Scouts, H.O.P.E. Inc., Weston Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic, RAZE, 4-H, DHHR and Mountain Health Trust Fund.
Demonstrations will include bike safety information and the proper way to fit a bike helmet by Joey's Bike Shop, of Elkins. Children can sign up for drawings for two bikes. There will be free refreshments and free bike helmets available for up to 200 children.

The event is part of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital's 40th anniversary. The present facility was opened on Nov. 19, 1972.
