A.B. "Bud" Guthrie, 65, of Rock Cave, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in Louis A. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Clarksburg.
He was born Jan. 27, 1947, at Uniontown, Pa., a son of the late Arley B. Guthrie, and he is survived by his mother, Helene Faye Garbutt Harwood of Fairchance, Pa.
He was united in marriage Aug. 23, 1965, to Nancy Smiley Guthrie, who survives.
In addition to his mother and his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Amy Caprice Harrison of Maryland; three sons, John Robert Guthrie of Georgia, David Michael Guthrie of Florida, and Joe Taylor of West Virginia; 12 grandchildren, Hannah, Robert, Delaney, Alexandria, William, Joshua, Ashley, Brianna, Andrew, Christian, Crysta and Carmen; and two brothers, Ira Skolnick of West Virginia and Bradford Guthrie of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Cameron; and one sister, J.A.
Mr. Guthrie was a dreamer and a chaser of rainbows. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
