As we approach a month of special commemorations from Nov. 22 to Jan. 1, The Holy Spirit is touching my heart about "unity of the Faith" and becoming "one" in Jesus Christ.
Some have an "ecumenical" ideology which embraces a false "powerless," Babylonian-influenced church which is wooing prospective denominations to return to her political, social and religious protection.
Either we are returning to this embrace, or we will continue to reform and become complete in the Holy Ghost, who is our only hope and door to the Kingdom of Heaven and true Church of Jesus Christ, the Zion of Prophecy, the Israel of God.
John the Baptist declares, "He (Christ) will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and Fire." "It's not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord." Concerning becoming "One," let us understand what the Scriptures tell us; "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches."
Radical religions are amalgamating and will try to disguise the true and only living Church of Jesus Christ as something counterfeit.
We will hear certain groups that say we Wesley Holiness Pentecostals have fuzzy math. To tell you the truth, and we must tell the truth, the way our nation and main denominational churches are electing officials, embracing false teachings, worldly temporal and carnal thinking, the fuzzy math isn't adding up.
Many have become attached to this religious, massive group who would just like to float along with any doctrine they believe and receive an undeserved hand-out. Remember the Scripture, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
We as pilgrims and strangers in this present world are on a path to glory that has a city with foundations whose builder and maker is God.
These times allow the belief that all gods and religious doctrines lead us to heaven. This thinking is biblically impossible.
Christ is praying to the Heavenly Jehovah God the father in his high priestly prayer: "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." (John 17:5). "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are (verse 11).
"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Nether pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be ONE, even as we are one. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that thou, hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me" (St. John's Gospel, chapter 17).
"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it" (1st Thessalonians 5:23 and 24).
"And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year; said unto the, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this he spake not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of god that were scattered abroad" (Saint John's gospel).
"That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him" (Ephesians 1: 10).
"For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house (church) and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore; for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing , or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say to all, Watch."
"When Jesus steps out 'on a cloud' to call his children, the dead in Christ shall rise, to meet Him in the air, and then those that remain, will be quickly changed, At the Midnight Cry, when Jesus comes again" (C. Day/Day).
Remember Isaiah's prophecy in chapter 52:8: "Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion."
"They shall ask their way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten."
Simple arithmetic, and yet we still must love the Lord Jesus Christ and one another with all of our pure hearts, mind and strength and with unfeigned love.
"And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (3:9-11).
The Fellowship of the Mystery is Love. A New Commandment I give that you that ye love one another!
"Make us one Lord, make us one, Holy Spirit, make us one, let you love flow, so the world will know , we are one in you." (CYMBALA)
We exalt Christ this holiday season. He is our soon-coming king and remains our faithful creator and must be Savior and Lord!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Seasons greetings to all who will be celebrating at this time of the year.
Love in Christ, the reason for the season.
