A Buckhannon man and woman are lodged in the Lorain County, Ohio, jail after state troopers seized nearly 900 oxycodone pills following a routine traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike Tuesday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested Hannah Aloi, 23, and Andrew Slayton, 31, around 8 a.m. Tuesday after pulling over the 2009 Toyota Aloi was driving for a marked lane violation.

According to a media release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and reported seeing Slayton throwing an object on the rear floor of the vehicle after being instructed to exit the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a small flashlight which troopers said Slayton threw and that contained five prescription pills. Troopers also discovered a baggy of white powder and nine additional pills.

The press release also stated that during the troopers' interaction with Aloi, she voluntarily revealed that she concealed another 885 oxycodone pills on her person.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol placed a $27,000 value on the pills, according to the press release.

According to the Lorain County Sheriff's Department, no bond has been set for Slayton. He is facing charges of trafficking in drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule two substance.

Aloi is being held on a $20,000 bond on charges of aggravated trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a schedule two substance, no operator's license and driving left of center. No court date has been scheduled for either person, according to the sheriff's department.

Media reports have identified Aloi as being the daughter of Marion County Circuit Court Judge Michael Aloi. An employee in Judge Aloi's office confirmed Wednesday that Hannah Aloi is his daughter.
