March 28, 2013
The Inter-Mountain
A Randolph County sheriff’s deputy looks inside a black Ford pickup truck that smashed a telephone pole on Country Club Road around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken from the scene by the Randolph County Emergency Squad. The accident occurred approximately one mile from the intersection of Country Club Road and the Beverly Five-lane. It appeared the driver lost control of the truck, which was traveling south toward Beverly, struck a bank and then hit the pole. The telephone pole was snapped and large splinters of wood were lying in the roadway. Deputies on scene said no other information could be released at the time.
