TENNERTON - Buckhannon-Upshur erupted for 10 runs in second inning to cruise past Lewis County 19-0 in Class AAA sectional action on Tuesday.
Brooklyn Waddell led the 14-hit attack for the Bucs (17-11) with three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs. Cora McDaniels added two hits and a pair of RBIs, and Lindsey Wagoner and Julie Tenney two hits each.
Megan Williams went all five innings to earn the win. She allowed just three hits and struck out three.

"We came out hitting and took advantage of their miscues," B-U coach Tom Hasbrouck said. "Megan Williams also pitched a good game for us."
The teams will meet again today at 6 p.m. in the best-of-three series in Tennerton.
Moorefield 9, East Hardy 0
MOOREFIELD - Beth Cook went 3-for-4 with three doubles to lead Moorefield past East Hardy 9-0 Tuesday in Class A sectional action.
Katelynn Wills added a homer, while Taylor Zuber earned the win for the Yellow Jackets.
