Douglas Kimble

Douglas Arthur Kimble, 78, a native of Tucker County and since 1953, a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, departed this life March 12, 2013, in Cleveland Clinic, after a short illness.

He had never married.

Surviving are three sisters, Retha L. (Bill) Bilby of Hambleton, Margaret (Earl) West of Hampton, Va., and Mary Alice (John) McCray of Bedford, Ohio; one aunt, Virginia Kimble of Martinsburg; and one niece, five nephews, several cousins and numerous friends.

He attended the schools of Tucker County. He entered the U.S. Army in January 1957. His tour of duty was in Germany and was a lineman in the 157th Signal Corps. After his discharge in 1958, he was recalled during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He had the rank of specialist 4 - E4. He retired from General Electric.

He was cremated. No arrangements have been made.
