Barbour students honored for poetry

Nineteen Barbour County students are recognized for their poems at the first Barbour County Reading Council Poetry Celebration, which took place at Code Blue during the Philippi Art Stroll. April was National Poetry Month, and the contest was open to all students from kindergarten to 12th grade in Barbour County. Elementary-age students pictured from left in front are Gracie Miller, Mimi Ferguson, Ruby Coe, Avah Johnson, Addison Taylor and Braylyn Edwards, who is shown at far right.
