Mr. Richard A. Polce, 71, of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Unit. He was born October 24, 1941, at Arthurdale, W.Va., a son of the late Fheo and Anna Louise Antolini Polce.
He was married to Barbara Louise Tingler Polce who survives at Norton. Also surviving are three sons, Michael A. Polce and wife, Donna, of Coalton; Mark Owen Polce, Elkins and Tracy L. Polce and wife, Cindy, of Jimtown; his companion of many years, Lorraine Bertran, of Elkins; a brother, Ronald L. Polce and wife, Bonnie, Tellahoma, Tenn; two grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Gabelman and Cassie Marie Polce; a nephew, Greg and niece, Teresa; his "special sister," Francis Gerard; and a stepgrandson, Jason McKelvey and family.
Mr. Polce was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 132 for many years and was a businessman in Elkins. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Harley-Davidson rider. He was a member of the Moose Club, Masonic Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was known and loved by many people.

At the request of the deceased, his remains were cremated. A graveside service and interment of the cremains will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 31356, Tampa, Fla., 33631-3356 in memory of Mr. Polce.
