The Elkins All-Star teams will be hosting fundraisers over the weekend and on Monday to help with the cost of their regional trips.

Both teams earned trips by winning their respective state tournament title games.

A car wash and bake sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kroger and Tygarts Valley High School/Middle School.

On Sunday, a pool and dance party for teenagers will be held at the Elks Country Club.

The event is from 7 to 9 p.m. and snacks and drinks will be provided. There will be a $10 charge.

Flyers will be handed out at those events for a fundraiser that will take place Monday at Bob Evans in Elkins. Flyers also can be obtained from the parents of the players for both squads.

The restaurant will donate 15 percent of each patrons' bill with a flyer to the Babe Ruth All-Star teams..
