Robbie Morris, United Way of Randolph County board president, said the United Way helps local agencies by doing fundraising for agencies.

"This allows partnering agencies the opportunity to do what they do best," Morris said. "And it gives those who want to help an opportunity to make one payment and allow us to use the money to help others with their needs. The LIVE UNITED Kick-Off Auction is lots of fun."

Morris said the auction usually generates approximately $20,000.

"This is a great time to get out with your friends and help others," Morris said. "We are still accepting donations for the auction. If you have not yet signed up for your payroll donation for the United Way, ask about a payroll deduction for the United Way to help support the 27 partnering agencies. United Way representatives are available to come to businesses to talk about supporting the United Way."
