Lena Marie Isner, 94, a resident of Kerens, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 20, 2013, in Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas.
She was born June 4, 1919, at Lazy Run, a daughter of the late Wilburn and Blanche Brooks Taylor. On Aug. 20, 1949, she was married to Hershel C. Isner who preceded her in death on June 25, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Ed Isner and wife, Sharon, of Bridgeport, and John Isner and companion, Jeanne Rockwell, of Kerens, two daughters, Brenda Shaffer and husband, Mike, and "De De" Bunnell and husband, Randy, all of Parsons. A daughter-in-law, Janet Swecker, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. Also preceding her in death was one son, Stanley Taylor in 1995 and infant twin sister and brother, Mary Ellen Taylor and Charles Lee Taylor.

Mrs. Isner was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1937. She was employed by G.C. Murphy Company, Cross Roads Service Station, H & P Store, Elkins Recreation Center and Crazy Harry's Market and Greenhouse.
She was a member of Hart Chapel Church at Kerens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jonas Johnson Jr. and Pastor Kevin Gainer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Lena Marie Isner.
