Emergency workers searching for missing hunter

Emergency workers searched for hours for a missing hunter in the Cheat Mountain area of Randolph County Tuesday, with the rescue operation extending into the night

A call for assistance to search for the missing hunter was made at about 3:08 p.m. Tuesday. The Randolph County E-911 office confirmed that the Randolph County Sheriff's Department responded to the situation, along with the Huttonsville and Mill Creek volunteer fire departments.

The missing man had not been identified as of press time.

Emergency authorities also confirmed that extra manpower was needed to find the individual. All respondents were asked to meet at the Huttonsville and Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Department's office.

The search was ongoing at presstime.
