A French Creek man is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of a $125,000 bond after being charged Tuesday with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab.

According to the complaint filed in Upshur County Magistrate Court, Upshur County sheriff's deputies searched the residence of Kenneth Mitchell Lashua Jr., 45, of 74 Harvey Golden Road, after receiving information regarding excessive pseudoephedrine purchases.

The complaint stated that during their search, officers discovered several items alleged to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Upshur County Sheriff Dave Coffman said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be pending.
