Students K-12 at Highland Adventist School recently visited the Beckley Coal Mine and learned about the rich history of coal in the state. Many commented on the frightening and difficult work that built the culture and traditions of the region.
On the way home, the students stopped at the New River Gorge Bridge to enjoy the view.
