Oneita Hanline Collins, 91, of the Selbyville Road, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.
She was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Willis and Lecta Florence Caynor Hosaflook.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jacob Earl Hanline; and her second husband, Hance Collins.
She is survived by one daughter, Nora Sayre and husband, Garry, of French Creek; 11 grandchildren, Julie Sayre of Charleston, Shirley Morrison and husband, Brett, of Sutton, Nelson Sayre and wife, Bobbie, of Buckhannon, Cheryl Cain and husband, Derrick, of French Creek, Carol Williams and husband, Camden, of Georgia, Darlene Gregory of Buckhannon, Vicky Rubio and husband, Fernando, of Azusa, Calif., Pam Stockfish of Glendora, Calif., Charlotte Gadsby and husband, Dave, of Clairemont, Calif., Sonya Dean and husband, Rodney, of Buckhannon and Regenia Hosaflook Pruden of French Creek; 31 great-grandchildren, Shaena, Ethan, Jayston and Kristle Boley, Cayla, Cori and Cendall Cowan, Kelly Sayre, Ely and Rylan Cain, Morgan Rice, Lillian, Georgia and Laurel Williams, Adrianna Currence, Ashley Tuggle, Nicole, Jacqueline and Philip Rubio, Joshua and Aaron Stockfish, Dezi, Dori, Devian, Dominque, Ricki, Raven and Rudy Gadsby, Hunter Aragon and Evan and Patricia Dean; six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mabel Casto of Buckhannon.
She was preceded in death by two sons, William Hosaflook and Charles Hanline; one daughter, Caroline Wilfong; one granddaughter, Patricia Hosaflook; one stepgrandson; three brothers, Earl, Glenn and Ernest Hosaflook; and one sister, Helen Goblie.
Mrs. Collins was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed sewing and working in her garden and flowers.
Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel today from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert F. Heavner officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
