Deanna Carol Ramsey Fansler, 50, a resident of the Cravensdale Community, Elkins, departed this life Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at Front Royal, Va., surrounded by her family.
She was born Sunday, July 26, 1964, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Robert John Ramsey and Oneta Ann Currence Neighbors, who survives at Gore, Va.
On Sept. 2, 1995, at Elkins, she was married to Ricky Allen Fansler Sr., who preceded her in death Aug. 21, 2012.
Surviving are one son, Michael Waylon Vance and fiancee, Latasha, of Elkins; one daughter, Petina Mae Vance and fiance, Kenneth, of Heartville, Mo.; three stepchildren, Ricky Allen Fansler Jr. and Christopher Fansler, both of Alabama, Edward "Eddie" Smith of New York; two brothers, Ricky Lynn Ramsey and wife, Ellen, of Carson City, Nev., and Robbie Harold Ramsey of Front Royal, Va.; two sisters, Oneta Jean "Tiny" Miller and husband, Curtiss, of Front Royal, Va., and Conchita Renee "Chita" Haines and husband, Bobby, of Romney; six granddaughters, Serenity Grace, Heavenly Angel, Destiny Dawn, Chloe Brenae, Cailen Braydee and Jersey Brooke; six stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were one brother, Donnie Richard Ramsey; and one granddaughter, Mika Marie.
She attended Elkins High School and had worked at Nella's Nursing Home, the West Virginia Children's Home and Colonial Place as a nursing assistant. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and enjoyed shopping.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5-8 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday, Aug. 23, at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Curlie Ray Jr. will officiate, and interment will follow in American Legion's Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale.
