ELKINS — The YMCA second- and third-grade Gandy Dancer basketball team finished their season in first place by winning the championship game in the end-of-season tournament recently at the YMCA.

The team was able to complete an undefeated season by going 8-0 in the regular season and ending on a 3-0 run in the tournament for a perfect 11-0 record on the season.

Coach Levi Fletcher commented, “The whole team was able to show great improvement throughout the season, and they came together and really played as a team in the tournament. They were a lot of fun to coach, everyone was able to score and contribute during the season and they really worked hard this season to be successful. Congratulations to the players on a great season!”
