BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan looks to find the win column for the first time this season when it travels to Urbana at 7 p.m. today for a Mountain East Conference contest.

The Bobcats enter the game 0-3, with all three of their setbacks coming by three points, including Saturday’s 44-41 setback to Fairmont Senior on a field goal as time expired.

Coach Del Smith’s squad also lost their home opener against Concord on a last-season FG.

Senior quarterback Luke Casey leads the MEC in passing yards with 974 and is coming off a 360-yard effort against the Falcons, completing 21 of 28 passes and throwing for three scores.

Jujuan Linzy had six catches in the loss, while Dante Satcher rushed for 60 yards.

Defensively, Anthony Hill collected 12 tackles, including eight solo, for the Bobcats.

Urbana, meanwhile, is 2-1 overall and 1-1 in MEC action. The Blue Knights defeated Lake Erie last Thursday as Kahliq Muhammad had a career-high 168 receiving yards with two touchdown catches.

He is averaging 30.09 yards per catch, which is seventh best in the nation.

Urbana captured last year’s meeting, 21-7, in Buckhannon.
