ABU names coach

Hosler to guide acrobatics & tumbling team

PHILIPPI — Alderson Broaddus Director of Athletics Carrie Bodkins has announced Emily Hosler as the next head coach of the Alderson Broaddus acrobatics & tumbling team.

“Emily brings a passion for the sport of acrobatics & tumbling and Alderson Broaddus University,” Bodkins said. “We are excited to have Emily rejoin the AB staff.”

Hosler, a 2017 graduate of Alderson Broaddus, returns to Philippi after spending last season as the graduate assistant at West Liberty University.

Prior to her time at West Liberty, Hosler served as the assistant coach at AB. She was a member of the inaugural acrobatics & tumbling team at AB before becoming a student assistant coach.

“I’m so grateful and excited to return to my alma mater, leading this program towards continued growth and excellence,” Hosler said.

“The Alderson Broaddus acrobatics & tumbling program means so much to me, and I’m looking forward to providing these student-athletes with the same high-quality experience that I had at AB.”

The Lady Battlers accumulated a record of 4-4 during the 2019 season.

Their victories came over Limestone College (S.C.), Belmont Abbey, East Texas Baptist University and West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Losses came to King University (Tenn.), Gannon University, Converse College and Quinnipiac.
