D&E men’s swim team opens season
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio –The Davis & Elkins College Men’s Swimming team opened up competition on Friday with a dual meet at Notre Dame College. The Senators picked up three individual event wins, but fell short 115-90.
Jiwh Santos won two meets in his debut for the Senators, picking up wins in the 100 Freestyle (48.76) and 200 Freestyle (1:49.31). Vignesh Muley won the 1000 Freestyle event with a time of 10:53.23, and scored with his runner-up finish in the 200 Butterfly (2:08.31). Newcomers Geoff Dixon (200 Backstroke) and Carl Eisen (50 Freestyle) scored runner-up points for the Senators in their debuts in the pool.
The Senators will open up their home swimming schedule on Oct. 18 with a meet against Urbana, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Myles Pool.
