Highlands Composite mountain bike team places first

BRUCETON MILLS – The Highlands Composite mountain bike team recently took first place at Big Bear Lake Park.

In the sixth-grade boys division, Kaden George took 18th and Hayden Simms placed 21st.

In the sixth-grade girls division, Zanna Logar captured first, Emma Ujvagi took second, Lily Anderson placed fifth and Allison Judy rounded the podium in sixth.

Quincy Miller was third, Cooper Ruud fourth and Mason Powell 10th in the seventh-grade boys division, while Iris Dubansky was second in the seventh-grade girls division.

In the eighth-grade boys division, Daniel Dodds finished third.

In the freshman girls division, Alyssa White placed first. Ashton White took first in the freshman boys division and Bradan Andrews was 13th.

In the sophmore girls division, Natalie Sutton captured first.

In the JV girls division, Isabelle Judy placed first and Isabella White finished second.

In the JV boys division, Nate Dearborn took first place and Jasper Clark placed fifth.

In the varsity boys division, Eli Ballantyne placed second.

Overall points leaders for the 2019 race season included, Isabelle Judy in the JV girls division, Ashton White in the freshman boys division, Alyssa White in the freshman girls division and Zanna Logar in the sixth- grade girls division.
