Pendleton picks up PVC?road win at Moorefield

BLACKSVILLE — Coltin Barr tossed in 26 points as Class A, No. 6 Clay-Battelle claimed a 79-56 win over Tygarts Valley on Friday night.

Levin Carrico added 22 and Seth Casino 15 for the Cee Bees (8-1).

Logan George fired in 23 points for the Bulldogs, followed by Garrett Gibson with 10 and Josh Bright with nine.

Tygarts Valley (6-3) will travel to Notre Dame on Wednesday.

MOOREFIELD – Pendleton County placed three players in double digits in claiming a 56-45 Potomac Valley Conference win over Moorefield on Friday night.

Laird Sweet led the Wildcats (7-0) with 18 points, followed by Josh Alt with 15 and Bailey Thompson with 12.

Chase Vance had a game-high 20 points for the Yellow Jackets.

“We are starting to play as a cohesive unit defensively,” Pendleton County coach Ryan Lambert said. “I was happy with our effort tonight and it was a great road win.”

Pendleton County will return to action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bath County (Va.).
