Harman earns a spot in WVHIT D2 championship

HARMAN –Harman used a big first quarter to coast past Paw Paw, 60-33, Wednesday night to earn a spot in the West Virginia Hometown Invitational Tournament Division 2 title game.

The Panthers (11-7) put the game out of reach early by outscoring the Pirates, 21-4, in the opening frame. They increased their lead to 37-15 at the intermission.

Clayson Knotts had 15 points to pace Harman.

Braydan Huffman also reached double figures with 10.

Dylan Moreland had 10 points to lead Paw Paw (4-10).

The Panthers are scheduled to face Hundred at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Robert C. Byrd High School in the WVHIT title game.

The Pirates are currently penciled in to meet South Harrison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
