Tiger senior golfers honored during quad with Big 10 foes

ELKINS — Elkins honored its senior golfers during a quad-match held Tuesday at the Elks Course.

Harmon Young and Ivan Looney-Sanders were recogonized for the Tigers, who placed third in the match with a team-total 205.

Elkins’ Tanner Miller fired a 43 to share low-medalist honors with North Marion’s Aden Martin.

Other Tiger scores included Young (52), Chase Bedford (54), Looney-Sanders (56), Austin Harris (66) and Austin Harris (66).

North Marion finished with a 188 to win the team title, followed by Philip Barbour (200). Lewis County was fourth with a 226.

Mason Halfin led the Colts with a 45.

Elkins will be back in action Monday for the Big 10 Conference tourney at Bel Meadow.
