SNOWSHOE — Tygarts Valley’s Andrew Holbrook took low-medalist honors at the Potomac Valley Conference golf championship held Tuesday at the Raven Golf Club.

Holbrook, a senior, finished with an 82. It was the second team he had won low-medalist at the PVC tournament.

“After a delayed start due to cold weather and frost, we had a great day for golf,” Bulldogs coach Jonathan Kyle. “I’m extremely proud of how he performed. He’s had a solid year so far and it was great for him to earn the individual championship honor in his senior campaign.”

Moorefield took team honors with a 365.

Other teams that competed included Tucker County, Pocahontas County, Pendleton County and Union.

The all-PVC squad was comprised of Holbrook, Tucker County’s Harper Russell, Moorefield’s J.J. Carr and Ryan McGregor, Pocahontas County’s David Gibb and Pendleton County’s Tanner Townsend.

Tygarts Valley will take part in the regional tournament Monday at Canaan Valley.
