Bulldogs best No. 5 Cee Bees

MILL CREEK — Josh Bright fired in 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Tygarts Valley knocked off Class A, No. 5 Clay-Battelle, 69-61, Monday night at Weber-Wamsley Court.

The Cee Bees, who are now 10-2, defeated the Bulldogs, 73-43, when the teams met on March 5.

“The first time we played them they were a little ahead of us in regards to starting the season,” TV coach Tom Wamsley said. “We got off to a slow start but once the kids got focused and gained some confidence, they played really well.”

Riley Tackett added 11 points and seven boards and Garrett Gibson and Paden Haney 10 points each for TV.

Mojo Chisler led Clay-Battelle with 25 points. Gavin Moore added 16 and Chase Ammons 10.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs celebrated senior night with a 65-31 win over Valley-Wetzel. Gibson had 14 to lead the way.

Tygarts Valley (5-3) visits Union on Wednesday.
