Bulldogs turn up defense to down Tucker

TV, which forced 25 Mountain Lions turnovers on the night, erased the nine-point deficit by outscoring Tucker County, 19-3, in the second frame to lead 26-19 at halftime.

But Garrett Gibson, who finished with a game-high 18 points, drilled a 3-pointer on the other end and the Bulldogs tacked on six free throws inside the final 1:20 of regulation to pull away.

“Garrett really stepped up and hit some big shots for us,” Wamsley said. “He really ignited us and got the other guys going.”
