Tigers drop decision to North Marion

ELKINS — North Marion pounded out 15 hits en route to a 21-4 win over Elkins in five innings Monday in Big 10 Conference play.

Cruz Tobin led the Huskies at the dish with two hits and three RBIs. Cole Malnick and Tariq Miller also knocked in two runs each.

Dustyn Primavero drove in a pair of runs to lead the Tigers (0-5, 0-3 Big 10).

Hunter Shreve, Peyton Casey, Owen Haddix, Charlie Brown and Cameron Biller each recorded hits.

Tobin went three innings on the mound to earn the victory, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking one.

Kyle Wyatt was tagged with the loss as he gave up eight runs on five hits, striking out one and walking three.

Hunter Shreve and Casey also saw time on the hill.

The Huskies struck for two runs in the first, six in the second and two in the third to build a 10-0 lead.

Elkins, which was plagued by seven errors, scored a single run in the third and three in the fifth.

The Tigers visit Fairmont Senior today.
