Tigers rally to win over Lewis County
WESTON –Elkins had to rally in the fourth quarter to get by Lewis County, 41-40, Saturday night in Big 10 Conference action.
The Tigers, who are now 6-6 on the season, held a 27-15 lead at the intermission, but were outscored 15-2 in the third as the Minutemen carried a 30-29 cushion into the final frame.
Led by Malachi Watson, who scored six of his game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter, Elkins was able to regroup and hang on for the one-point win.
Mitchell Price added nine and Peyton Isner eight for Elkins.
Will Hunt and Vincent Snuffer had 11 each for Lewis County (2-6).
The Tigers return home at 7:30 p.m. today to face Petersburg.

MEADOW BRIDGE 68, HARMAN 48
MEADOW BRIDGE — Meadow Bridge placed three players in double figures to defeat Harman, 68-48, Saturday in West Virginia Hometown Invitational play.
Logan Hatfield had 20, Hunter Claypool 13 and Conner Mullins 12 for the Wildcats (6-3).
The Panthers (4-5) were led by Clayson Knotts with 12 and Bryson Shillingburg with 11. Jacob Paugh added nine and Joe Fridley eight.
Harman returns to action today at 7:30 p.m. today at East Hardy.
