TV girls, Pocahontas drop games

BLACKSVILLE — Clay-Battelle held off Tygarts Valley, 41-38, on Friday night.

The Lady Bulldogs (8-6) will host Pocahontas County at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Class A, Region II, Section 2 tourney play.

Alivia Ammons fired in 24 points for the Lady Cee Bees, who led 20-17 at halftime and 29-28 after three quarters.

Kendal Cutright had 16 points to pace Tygarts Valley in the setback.

MOOREFIELD — Pocahontas County ended the regular season with a 44-34 setback at Moorefield on Saturday.

Remi Hinkle had 17 points and Sterling Kump 13 for the hosts.

Kierston Taylor hit five treys to finish with 15 points for the Lady Warriors (5-8).

Maceden Taylor added 11 rebounds and four assists and Sienna Bircher six points, nine boards and three blocks.

FRANKLIN — Bailey Thompson scored 17 points and Josh Alt added 12 as Class A, No. 3 Pendleton County cruised past Moorefield, 50-25, Friday night in PVC play.

Dean Keplinger had nine points for MHS.
