Tigers fall to Shady Spring
ELKINS — Elkins fell short in a 6-3 setback to Shady Spring on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers trailed 3-2 before the visitors plated three runs in the sixth inning.
Elkins tacked on an RBI double by Dustyn Primavero in the bottom of the frame. He also had an RBI double in the first inning.
Josh Lovell drove in three runs for the Tigers of Shady Spring.
Kyle Wyatt allowed three runs on four hits over five innings in taking the loss. He struck out three and walked four.
Hunter Shreve and Peyton Casey finished in relief. Shreve gave up two runs and Casey one run on two hits.
Elkins (0-9) will host Bridgeport at 6 p.m. today.

Petersburg tops Bulldogs
MILL CREEK — Jonathan Mallow tossed a five-inning one hitter as Petersburg blanked Tygarts Valley, 10-0, on Saturday.
Mallow struck out seven and walked three.
William Vanmeter and Blake Loy had three RBIs each for the Vikings.
Garrett Gibson had the lone hit for the Bulldogs.
Brandon Mahoney took the loss, allowing six runs on five hits in two innings. He struck out one and walked one.
Gibson went two innings of relief, giving up four runs on two hits and fanning four and Matthew Pratt went one frame, striking out two and surrendering one hit.
Tygarts Valley (4-4) remains home at 6 p.m. today to face South Harrison.
