ELKINS — Elkins captured its ninth straight win with a 2-0 victory over Fairmont Senior Tuesday night in Big 10 Conference girls soccer action at EHS Field.

Addy Cogar had both of the goals in the game in the first half for the Lady Tigers, who are now 9-1-0.

Sydney Wamsley earned the shutout in goal.

“This was a great result for us tonight,” EHS coach Scott Cutright said. “Fairmont Senior is always a good team, and they have some really talented players we were able to contain.

“We have a difficult run of games coming up, so we need to continue to get better every day.”

The Lady Tigers will remain home at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday to face Robert C. Byrd for a league tilt.
