EHS spikers fall to Lady Bucs

ELKINS — The Elkins High School volleyball team fell to Buckhannon-Upshur Thursday night in Big 10 Conference play at Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymnasium.

The Lady Bucs swept the match in three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-10.

Elkins, however, took the preliminary junior varsity match.

The Lady Tigers won in two games by set scores of 25-20 and 25-23.

Elkins is scheduled to be back in action at 6 p.m. Monday against Tucker County, before returning home at 6 p.m. Tuesday to face Braxton County.

B-U, which was coming off a 22-25, 16-25 setback at Bridgeport on Wednesday night, is slated to return to the court at 6 p.m. Wednesday at East Fairmont for a league contest. The Lady Bucs will remain on the road next Thursday at Gilmer County.
