PARSONS — Dom Mullenax has been a force on both sides of the ball for the Tucker County High School football team this season.

The 6-foot, 250-pound junior lines up at right tackle on offense and end on defense.

He has been of the top tacklers this season for the Mountain Lions.

During a 16-14 win over Tygarts Valley, Mullenax showed his athletic ability, leaping up in the air to deflect a pass in the end zone then diving to make the catch for a key touchdown late in the first half.

Mullenax had eight stops in a recent contest against Southern (Md.).

Tucker County put up a valiant effort this past Friday night, dropping a 26-20 decision on the road against Class A, No. 9 Gilmer County.

Mullenax recorded a sack in the loss.

The Mountain Lions (2-6) will end the regular season with two home games, including this Friday night against Petersburg.

They will then host South Harrison on Nov. 5.

Mullenax also participates in basketball and track and field at Tucker County.

He was a qualifier in the discus in this past year’s state meet in Charleston.
