WVU cagers host Bellarmine tonight at the Coliseum

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia will host a battle-tested Bellarmine squad at 7 p.m. today inside the Coliseum.

The action will be televised live on ESPN+.

The Knights, who hail from Louisville, Kentucky, enter the game 2-5, with losses coming to No. 2 Purdue, No. 3 Gonzaga and No. 5 UCLA.

They picked up a 75-37 win over Franklin College in their home opener on Sunday.

The Mountaineers, meanwhile, are 5-1 and defeated Eastern Kentucky, 80-77, in their last game on Friday night as senior guard Taz Sherman poured in a career-high 28 points.

Sherman is averaging 20.5 points per game. He is followed in scoring by fellow senior guard Sean McNeil at 11.4 ppg.

McNeil originally signed with Bellarmine out of high school but opted later to attend junior college.

The Knights are led in scoring by guard Dylan Penn, who is hitting for 16.1 points and dishing out 4.85 assists per contest.

Backcourt mate CJ Fleming is adding 10.4 points per game.
