Wanless lifts Tigers to win over Bearcats
GRAFTON — Levi Wanless tossed in 20 points as Elkins claimed a 52-40 win over Big 10 Conference and regional foe Grafton on Thursday night.
The Tigers took control early, racing out to a 16-2 lead after one quarter.
A 15-9 scoring advantage by the Bearcats cut the deficit to 25-17 at halftime and Elkins maintained a 40-30 cushion entering the final canto.
Dylan Andrew had 11 points for the hosts,
Lucas D’Angelo and Landon Shreve added nine and eight points, respectively for the Tigers, who are now 3-4 and visit East Fairmont on Tuesday.
