WVU’s Gray, Hill named All-Region

MORGANTOWN–Juniors Kyle Gray and Darius Hill of the West Virginia University baseball team have been named to the East All-Region First Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Hill is honored for the second time in his career, after earning first team accolades in 2016, while Gray is recognized for the first time. This marks the third consecutive season at least one Mountaineer has been named to the first team and the sixth year in a row a WVU player is on the first or second team. Gray and Hill are the 50th and 51st players in program history to be named to the East All-Region First or Second Team, since 1983.

West Virginia is one of three Big 12 programs to have two players recognized and one of just two with at least two first-team honorees.
