BUCKHANNON -- A local businessman has made a generous donation to a local hospital.
Mike Ross, a St. Joseph's Foundation board member and the president of Ross & Wharton Gas Co., recently presented a donation of $10,000 to Skip Gjolberg, St. Joseph's Hospital administrator, for use by the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation.
This gift will be dedicated to the Foundation's year-end appeal, which will be directed toward purchase of new equipment for St. Joseph's Hospital's operating room suite.
"We greatly appreciate Mr. Ross's dedication to St. Joseph's Hospital and its Foundation," Gjolberg said in a recent news release. "His support helps to ensure the sustainability of the hospital and our ability to provide quality health care to our community."
St. Joseph's Foundation is a nonprofit, 501-C organization that provides funds for needs at the hospital. Most recently, Foundation funds were utilized to purchase new recliners with heat and massage capabilities for the chemotherapy suite at the hospital.
