ELKINS -- Community members of all ages are invited to "hop" into C.J. Maggie's Saturday morning for an "egg-cellent" breakfast and opportunity to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny.

Elkins Main Street's first event of the season will bring fun to kids at the annual Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

"We have had such positive feedback from this event. Year after year, people comment on how much they enjoy it," said Karen Carper, executive director for Elkins Main Street. "Some families have been to all of the pancake breakfasts since 2012. It's also fun for the volunteers, who really enjoy seeing and serving the children."

The Easter Bunny and helpers will provide free treats at C.J. Maggie's from 8 to 10 a.m. for ticketed children younger than 12.

"In addition to supporting Elkins Main Street, it's also a great value. For the cost of a breakfast ticket, children under 12 receive a free Easter egg filled with surprises and a free photo with the Easter Bunny courtesy of The Inter-Mountain," Carper said. "C.J. Maggie's serves a great breakfast, too, with pancakes, link sausage and a drink."

Elkins Main Street Promotion Committee Chair Anne Beardslee said, "We are so fortunate to have C.J. Maggie's partner with us for the sixth straight year. It is a great event for individuals and families with the added benefit of helping Elkins Main Street fund important projects."

Main Street volunteers will be on hand to serve guests pancakes and sausage links with orange juice, coffee or tea.

"Main Street could not possibly do this event without the help of our volunteers. AmeriCorps and former AmeriCorps members will portray the Easter Bunny and helpers this year," Carper said. "We look forward to seeing them bring smiles to the faces of the youngsters. Several members of the Davis & Elkins College girls' volleyball team will join Main Street volunteers to help serve our guests. We sincerely appreciate the gift of their time.

"The Inter-Mountain helps make the event extra special by providing photos of children with the Easter Bunny -- a great Easter gift for parents and grandparents," she continued. "We are especially grateful for the continued, generous support of C.J. Maggie's. The restaurant is the perfect location for the event, and the staff are simply awesome."

Advance tickets are available at the Main Street office located at 204 Davis Ave., Suite 1, or online at www.eventbrite.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

Several Main Street events are planned throughout the spring and summer seasons in downtown Elkins.
