Cinderella left her castle to pay a visit to the Upshur County Family Resource Network’s two-year family social anniversary Monday at Stockert Youth and Community Center. The monthly socials were began to fill a void of daytime family programming where both the children and parents would be able to participate. Parent education and a family activity are components of the socials. Each child also leaves with a new book for their home library. UCFRN partners with Right from the Start and the West Virginia HAPI project. The UCFRN appreciates Little Glass Slipper Princess Parties for visiting with the families Monday. ‘We are on a shoe string [budget] so when we have something like that happens, it’s very nice,’ director Lori Ulderich Harvey said. Little Glass Slipper Princess Parties offers various packages with one or more princesses for parties and gatherings. Pictured sitting on Cinderella’s lap is Vivianne Bruffey.
